Are patio stones a good choice for my outdoor needs?
Absolutely. Since Spirit Stone is molded from real stone and made from concrete, you get the best of both worlds! The patio stones are lightweight, easily arranged and moved and at two inches the thickness of Spirit Stone is as resilient as any other product.
Do I need to reinforce my walls for exterior stone applications?
No, not at all. Spirit Stone is lightweight and is more like installing tile than heavy stones. Any existing wall takes Spirit Stone easily with no structural reinforcements necessary.
Can I use Spirit Stone in my home’s interior?
Of course! Spirit Stone has been used in kitchens, living rooms, bathrooms, man/woman caves, garages, workspaces, offices, foyers, nooks, and many more areas.
What kind of maintenance will I need to keep in mind?
Properly installed Spirit Stone will have little to no maintenance. Do not use any acid wash on the stone as it will erode. If you power wash the stone, stay at least 5 feet away. If the stone is indoors or if you would like to clean the stone, use a whisk broom. No sealer is necessary.
Are the colors on spiritstone.us.com and the printed brochures accurate?
Each family and color of stone was photographed many times to capture the essence of the colors but there is nothing like the real thing. If you have any concerns regarding the colors, we will be happy to send you actual full-sized stone samples.
Where do you make Spirit Stone?
We proudly make every piece in Sidney, Nebraska. There are four major highways and three railroads that all meet in Sidney, and that means a lower overall price for you.
How heavy and thick are the stones?
Each square foot of stone weighs 8 – 12 pounds, or about 3.5 – 5.5 kilograms. Depending on style, the stone is 1 – 3 inches thick. We take the best face of the real stone and cast it. By doing this, it increases the perception of depth while allowing Spirit Stone to be placed anywhere.
Do the stones repeat?
The repetition rate is very low. It is so low in fact, that you won’t see a stone repeat for 80 – 100 square feet.
What is the cost, and how do you stack up against other stone companies?
Compared to real stone, we are typically less than ½ the cost. Compared to other companies, we are competitively priced! We price stone, accessories and freight charges at the time of your quote so there are no surprise costs at the time of purchase or delivery. This way you can see the whole picture before your project begins.
What’s the difference between imported and domestic stone?
You may think it is the price, but this is not necessarily true. While imported stone is cheaper per unit, the shipping costs are astronomical when compared to domestic stone. The difference, in our opinion, is quality, control, speed, and customer service.
